Permalink My Mom Passed Away Tonight

My mother died around 7:00 PM tonight, after a lifelong fight with diabetes and epilepsy. While funeral plans are still pending, there will not be many posts on here in the next few weeks as I juggle this sad and unexpected loss with customer commitments. I ask that you keep her in her prayers as she goes to a better place, and also her younger sister who the last surviving sibling of her generation. Their older brother John died a few weeks ago after a losing battle with cancer. I will be spending the next few days mourning her loss and hugging my kids harder than they can possibly stand.

I am very sorry for your loss. I lost both my parents already, my mom when I was 17 and my dad in 2001 right after my son was born.
There is not much you can do, just hang in there. It will get better eventually.

Chris, the passing of both your mother and uncle is a lot of loss. In January, my wife's father passed away, it wasn't much of a surprise as he was 90 and he had prepared everyone. It was still still quite hard, and my wife says the she frequently finds herself thinking of a question that only he could answer. Maybe that's just the way it is with parents; we'll always have our questions. I am saddened by your loss and will be happy to give a prayer for you and your family.
