My Dinner With Libby Ingrassia of E-Pro Magazine

Libby Schwarz Ingrassia, editor of e-Pro Magazine, is in Atlanta for Inbox East. So we got together for dinner and I can now say I have met my 4th Lotus blogger (or so) face to face. It is always good to meet people from the Lotus Software community that are passionate about what they do for a living. Libby was gracious enough to deal with the fact that the passenger side door of my car cannot open and crawl in from the driver's side to get into her seat.

So here is what I learned from this person who, along with Tom Duff, gave me my first opportunity to write for publication in a technical journal:

• There really is an art to the way you write and things you need to keep in mind for a technical audience. For example, you need to hook them early with the technology being discussed so you can then get them to care about your topic.
• Texans can go home again.
• She spent 6 months working in China at the age of 22.
• She really needs to determine a winner or winners of Rocky Oliver's Haiku contest.
• She is a really nice person.
